SpecterOps Scores $75M Series B to Scale BloodHound Enterprise Platform

SpecterOps, a security startup selling technology to secure Microsoft’s Active Directory (AD) and Azure AD deployments, has raised an unusually large $75 million Series B funding round to accelerate the growth of its BloodHound Enterprise platform.

The company said the investment was led by Insight Partners. Venture capital outfits Ansa Capital, M12, Ballistic Ventures, Decibel and Cisco Investments also took equity positions.

SpecterOps has now attracted $108 million in venture capital funding.

The company said the new capital comes amidst rapid adoption of its flagship BloodHound Enterprise platform, with SpecterOps reporting 100% annual recurring revenue (ARR) growth in 2024 and a 60% increase in new customer acquisitions in Q4.

SpecterOps said it now serves nearly 200 enterprise customers across industries.

The startup, which specializes in adversary tradecraft research and attack path management, said the new financing will be used to scale BloodHound Enterprise, expand research efforts, and grow its consulting, sales, and marketing teams.

SpecterOps launched the BloodHound Enterprise product in 2021 with ambitious plans to help organizations secure Microsoft Active Directory (AD) and Azure AD (now Entra ID) environments, which remain prime targets for cyber attackers.

The platform provides continuous mapping of identity attack paths, helping security teams identify and eliminate high-risk exposure points before attackers can exploit them.

The company is also well known for its open source BloodHound Community Edition, a tool for mapping AD attack paths that is widely used by security teams worldwide.
